And it Read…
Dear Upcoming Artiste,
#PhotoShoots are very important and form part of your visual presentation, marketing, and branding package. But please focus on your Music Craft and churn out great content. Majority of you don’t know your #MusicNotes, not to talk of #PlayingMusicInstruments, you don’t rehearse, you don’t work on your #StageCraft (jumping around stage, showing off ‘too much skin’ or shouting alone isn’t what defines a great performer), many of you don’t even explore #Songwriting skills/dynamics, many of you can’t perform #LiveMusic (the miming culture is taking a nose dive because audience across the world are appreciating live performances now, and some Promoters now won’t even book you if you are a #MimingArtise, they won’t book you to come and lip sync to audience!) I am not saying stop doing photoshoots or stop paying photographers (they need that money, just as we all need for our products/services). I am also not forcing you to accept my words, but to whom it may concern, please tone down on uploading millions of photos on social media for the likes and focus on #CreatingSubstanceMusic with #QualityProductions that will last generations. Tagging 49, 99 people in posts/photos are not what will make you blow or grow your music career. Your plenty photos will disappear on your timeline but your timeless records will last generations!
Kindly Yours,
- Elorm Beenie
