Ghanaian Afrobeats musician Lord Paper, has revealed to Showbiz that Ghanaian musicians, especially the A-list ones have refused to collaborate with him.
According to Lord Paper, he has reached out to a lot of musicians to work with him but they all turned him down. He explained that one of such musicians was bold enough to tell him that he would not do it because of his issues with pornography.
“I can’t understand why this is so. The songs I sent for the feature had no swear words in it. I am still shocked that Ghanaian musicians would look down on another musician. I don’t want to mention names but such moves are bad,” he said.
Lord Paper said although Mr Eazi was the exception and accepted his request and featured on his track titledCall On Me, he feels such behaviour does not help the music industry
Lord Paper told Showbiz that he does not regret the “Ewurama” song he did which came with a wild video because he planned it and wishes Ghanaians would understand the creativity behind that song.
Apart from Ewurama, Lord Paper has released songs likeFameye,Love No Catch You Before,North K Guy,Maame Serwah,Insecureand recentlyDzigbordi.
Dzigbordiis currently number two on4Syte TV‘s charts and Lord Paper is asking Ghanaians to pay attention to his other songs and see how talented he is.
“I don’t think Ghanaians understand the kind of music I do but if they did they would appreciate me for my works,” he said.
According to him, he is glad some people are now getting used to his style and he knows very soon everyone would appreciate his music.
