Rapper Zygee is back into the Volta Music Awards scheme after boycotting the second edition. He boycotted the second edition due to the inability of the organizers to redeem their package that comes along with the category he won. Zygee won the Discovery Artiste Of The Year in the first edition where he’s entitled to a ten thousand recording dealing to be provided by category sponsor Brainy Beats.
Zygee joined #VMAMoment on Global drive 30th January 2020, where he revealed that after all efforts to enjoy his package proved futile, he decided not to be part of the second edition.
“According to Brainy Beats, he heard the song (The Truth) I released to address the issue and said he (Brainy) can decide to go on with the sponsorship project or not” he told hosts Bright Ellis and Jerome bigx.
Asked why he has decided to join the scheme again, Zygee said the scheme is for Volta and what transpired is no fault of the organizers (Eventic GH).
Zygee has five (5) nominations and is fired up to win at least three (3) of them..
